Masonry

The Masonry course provides students with the knowledge and skills involved in the laying and setting of brick, concrete block, glass block, ornamental brick work, and tile. Practice includes erecting walls, chimneys, fireplaces, piers, arches, corners, and other structures. Students will learn how to square and erect foundations, as well as forming, pouring and finishing concrete. Basic skill development in the use of trowels, levels, transits, blueprint reading will be emphasized.
