Computer Information Technology

CIT provides students with vital interactive computer training that is increasingly necessary for today's workforce. Students develop productivity skills in data manipulation in database administration, desktop publishing, presentation graphics, spreadsheet management, and word processing. Students next acquire development skills in multimedia web page design through HTML and web publishing software. Students learn to enhance digital images and media, create animated gifs, publish web compatible movies, and apply interactivity with rollover images, buttons, behaviors, and pop-up menus. Advanced students may also be introduced to CSS and JavaScript. Students will use scanners, graphics, tablets, printers, microphones, sound recorders, CD-RW's, graphic tablets, digital camera, digital camcorders and projection devices.
