COURSE DESCRIPTION
CIT prepares students to provide and manage data systems and related mathematical statistics to the description, analysis and forecasting of business data. Students receive instruction in a wide variety of desktop, office and business applications software in operating and information systems. Students will have exposure to a variety of computer languages applying to business programming. Students will also receive instruction in business ethics, business law, economics, office procedures and communications. Basic computer maintenance, troubleshooting and hardware and software installation will be taught.
Those completing the program may be employed as:
- microcomputer applications specialists
- basic network support technicians
- medical insurance billers
- help desk representatives
- software application trainers
- plus other related fields
